Following President Donald Trump’s Joint Address to Congress on Tuesday (March 4), where multiple Democratic lawmakers walked out in protest, held signs of dissent, and Rep. Al Green was forcibly removed for his demonstration, the Black Information Network (BIN) is set to air a special edition of its public affairs program, The Black Perspective: Addressing the Realities of Black America.

The one-hour special will air on Wednesday (March 5), at 5:00 p.m. ET across all BIN stations and streaming platforms. Hosted by BIN News Anchors Andrea Coleman and Mike Stevens, the program will provide an in-depth analysis of the President’s remarks and the larger implications of his policies on Black America. Additional insights will be provided by BIN News Anchor Doug Davis and Georgia News Network Anchor Katie Gray.

Through expert interviews, panel discussions, and historical context, the program will explore the real-world effects of the Trump administration’s policies on key issues such as economic equity, criminal justice reform, healthcare, education, and social justice.

With tensions running high after the President’s address and visible pushback from lawmakers, The Black Perspective will unpack what it all means for Black communities across the country.
