Naomi Campbell and Anna Wintour appeared to throw shade at each other during a New York fashion event.

On Tuesday (September 3), Wintour and Campbell appeared at the Fashion Row Fashion Show and Style Awards in Harlem, where the supermodel received the Fashion Icon Award.

Wintour was seemingly meant to present the honor to Campbell before she blasted the model for being late to the event.

“I am a very punctual person, and I have the honor of presenting tonight to someone who is often late," the Vogue Editor told a packed audience, referring to Campbell.

Wintour then exited the stage, prompting Samira Nasr, Harper's Bazaar editor-in-chief, to present the Fashion Icon Award to Naomi.

When Campbell took the stage to accept the award, she fired back at Wintour's comment. Campbell admitted that she's always late but suggested she preferred to receive the honor from Nasr over Wintour.

“It wasn’t my choice to have the other lady [Wintour]. I’d much rather have this," Campbell told audience members, who let out audible gasps.
