Over the years, fans have come to known Will Smith as a highly entertaining detective, boisterous Bel-Air Academy student and an alien-hunting agent. At this point, there is no role that the famed actor and producer couldn't fill. That's why it is so exciting to hear that the Philadelphia native will soon be releasing his autobiography, Will. Published through Penguin Random House, the book will take a look at his childhood, introduction into Hollywood and fatherhood among other things.

“I know this is weird, but this is my book,” Smith said during a video announcing the book's release.

“It’s been a labor of love. I’ve been working on it for the past two years and it’s finally ready.”

Smith is very much looking forward to the book's release. He has described his work as a “product of a profound journey of self-knowledge." Later, he added that the book helped Smith “master his own emotions” and he hopes it will help others do the same.

“It’s easy to maneuver the material world once you have conquered your own mind. I believe that. Once you’ve learned the terrain of your own mind, every experience, every emotion, every circumstance, whether positive or negative, simply propels you forward, to greater growth and greater experience,” Smith explained.

“That is true will. To move forward in spite of anything. And to move forward in a way that brings others with you, rather than leave them behind.”

Smith is not working on this endeavor alone. Will is co-written by Mark Manson, who was previously written two New York Times bestsellers. The cover for the book was put together by New Orleans artist BrandanBMikeOdums. According to Smith, there are five layers to the cover that represent each stage of his life.

"Y'all gotta see how [Brandan Odums] made the art for my book -- there are levels to it," Smith wrote.

"[There are] five layers. Each [layer is] repping a different stage of my life. [It's] Beautiful!"

Will is available for pre-order now and will officially be released on November 9.
