Simone Biles has done everything from winning Olympic Gold Medals to writing books and starring in national ad campaigns. Through all of her success, she's proved that there's not much that she can't do and that includes covering magazines. This month, the Olympic star graced the cover of Glamour Magazine and it's clear that she understood the assignment. From red, white and blue attire to her gold necklace, she completely amazed her fans with this one and they've taken to social media to remind her just how amazing she is.
Biles cannot take credit alone for this fantastic photoshoot. She was assisted by the talented photographer Kennedi Carter. Throughout the course of her career, Carter has had her work featured in British Vogue, GQ, The Fader, Essence, The New York Times, Men's Health, TIME and Refinery 29. The North Carolina native has also been honored by the British Journal of Photography and won the "Pride Photo Award" in 2020.
"Her work highlights the aesthetics & sociopolitical aspects of Black life as well as the overlooked beauties of the Black experience: skin, texture, trauma, peace, love and community. Her work aims to reinvent notions of creativity and confidence in the realm of Blackness," Carter's website reads.
Moving forward, Biles will turn her attention to the U.S. Olympic Trials in St. Louis, Missouri beginning June 24. If Biles qualifies as she is expected to, she will travel to Tokyo, Japan in pursuit of her fifth Olympic Gold Medal.
Meanwhile, Carter will look to stay booked and busy. As the nation continues to open up, readers may find Carer's work on a newsstand near you or a website in your phone. Regardless of where her work is found, it will always be flawless.
