Dionne Warwick is officially a Cardi B fan!
Over the weekend, the legendary songstress turned Twitter Queen revealed that she recently discovered the "WAP" rapper and became an instant stan. "After today, I can confidently add ‘Cardi B’ to the list of people my niece has opened my eyes to. More on this tomorrow," Miss Warwick tweeted on Saturday (January 9).
She later gave some context to her tweet, explaining why she fell in love with the one and only Cardi B.
"Cardi B is authentically herself," Dionne wrote, adding, "I have only seen video clips. No music yet. More on this tomorrow..."
Keeping to her promise, Dionne returned with more on her discovery of Carid B. "I did not listen to Cardi B’s music. [My neice] Brittani sent me a video on the YouTube and a clip from her show where she dances with the very effervescent @msdebbieallen," she clarified.
Dionne then switched gears, and turned her sights to Cardi's husband, Offset. "I do have one question. What does Offset mean?" she tweeted. "Is there also an Onset walking around somewhere?"
Dionne's followers were quick to explain, amongst other things, that Cardi and Offset are married, to which she replied, "I am reading through your responses to what Offset means... I do not like the mean responses. Cardi B and Offset are human beings with feelings. Keep it kind."
Cardi then responded to Dionne's tweet, writing, "It’s ok Miss Dionne I get it all the time.This new generation is wicked!"
In Miss Warwick fashion, her reply was both sweet and hilarious as she responded, "Keep being you! While I have you... What does Offset mean?"
