Lakers Likely To Visit White House Once Joe Biden Takes Office

The Los Angeles Lakers championship victory celebration was pretty short-lived with the quick turnaround of the NBA season. Now, the Lakers want to continue the post-championship tradition of visiting the White House at some point during the current NBA season and once President-elect Joe Biden takes office, according to Yahoo Sports' Chris Haynes.

Biden's electoral victory over President Donald Trump was confirmed early Thursday morning, and Biden is set to be sworn in as the 46th President of the United States on January 20.

The Los Angeles Lakers made history this past year in game six vs. the Miami Heat after they won the franchise's 17th NBA title, tying the Boston Celtics for the most championships ever in the NBA. The Lakers are looking to win 18t this year that would surpass their rival from the east coast.
