Taraji B. Henson went to Capitol Hill to discuss mental health issues on Friday. E! News reports that the actress spoke before the Congressional Black Caucus Emergency Task force on Black Youth Suicide and Mental Health, and appealed to lawmakers and the community to focus on mental health issues--particularly in the African-American community. "We don't deal with mental health issues. We don't even talk about it," she said. "The more we talk about it, the more people will feel they can talk about." Henson also mentioned her father, a Vietnam vet who had mental health issues, and discussed her own experiences with anxiety and depression and her son's trauma from his father's murder.
